We knew you wouldn’t be able to stay away. Last week we shared with you the first three items on our Ultimate Fall Activity Guide. This week we are sharing our final four fall activities that are sure to put you in the festive spirit.

Take a look through our list, pick your favorite and set aside some time this weekend to take advantage of this festive season.

Explore a Local Corn Maze

While fall may seem to revolve around all things pumpkin, nothing beats the fun of a good old-fashioned corn mazes. Farms across the country spend all year preparing for the few short weeks of corn maze season. Lucky for you, there is no need to travel across the country to find the perfect corn maze. A few of our local favorites include Sever’ Corn Maze, Applewood Orchard and the Twin Cities Harvest Maze. After a trip through the maze be sure to check out the giant corn pit many of the mazes also feature.

Spend a Night Under The Stars

Fall is the perfect time for camping. The temperatures have cooled, but frigid winter isn’t here yet, and the beauty of Minnesota is undeniable during the fall months. Grab a tent and some s’mores essentials and head out to one of the local campgrounds like, Lebanon Hills Regional Park-Campground, Dakotah Meadows RV Park or Town & Country RV Park and Campground. Be sure to check out Minnesota’s State Parks and State Forests for even more camping options including yurts and cabins. Or for a adventure closer to home, you can always pitch a tent in your backyard.

Pick the Perfect Apples

Apple picking is yet another classic autumn activity that can’t be missed. Minnesota is home to dozens of local orchards, many which also offer pumpkin patches and corn mazes. Afton Apple Orchard, Pine Tree Apple Orchard and Pleasant Valley Orchards are a few of our favorites. After you return home with a bushel or two of the state best fruit, don’t let them go to waste. Try your hand at some delicious apple recipes like these mini apple pies, this caramel apple pretzel salad, this cream cheese apple coffee cake or this crock pot apple butter.
