2016 Resolutions For Your Land Rover | Land Rover Minneapolis

Did Santa leave you the keys to a shiny new Land Rover under the tree this year? Whether you are ringing in new year with a Range Rover Evoque or trusty pre-owned Land Rover from Land Rover Minneapolis, make sure 2016 is the best year yet for you and your Land Rover with these three New Year’s Resolutions.

Resolution #1: A Fresh Start

Set aside some time every week to sort through your vehicle and take out everything that doesn’t belong. Grab a laundry basket and fill it with anything you don’t normally keep in your car. Take the basket inside and immediately put everything back in its place. This 10-minute task will not only keep you car looking presentable, but will also provide a sense of calm every time you slide inside your clean car. Hint: Save even more time on this resolution by taking anything that doesn’t belong inside with you at the end of each day.

Resolution #2: Keep a Tight Schedule

Make sure your Land Rover runs smoothly for years to come with regularly scheduled maintenance. Our Land Rover Maintenance Menu helps you keep track of when your vehicle is due for a service. Simply input your vehicle’s model and year and it will show you a detailed service calendar specifically for your vehicle. On average your vehicle’s engine oil and filter should be changed and your tires should be rotated every 5,000 miles, while your brake fluid should be changed starting at 30,000 miles. When your vehicle is due for a service you can schedule an appointment directly on our website here or by giving us a call at 763-333-1887.

Resolution #3: Squeaky Clean

Keep your Land Rover shining like the day you bought it. Make a commitment to wash or have it washed every 2-3 weeks. While it can be hard to find the time to wash your vehicle by hand and carwashes can get expensive, keeping a clean exterior is the best way to preserve your vehicle’s brilliant paint finish. Built up dirt can break down the wax and paint seal making your car more susceptible to scratches and fading. Save time and money by alternating between hand washes and drive-thru car washes. By making sure your Land Rover is cleaned on a regular basis, you should never have to pay for more than a basic wash. Tip: In the winter it is especially important to wash the undercarriage of your vehicle to remove the dirt and salt built up from driving on snow and ice. Place a basic sprinkler under your vehicle, turn the sprinkler on and drive back and forth a few times. We recommend doing this once a week during times of heavy winter storms.
